My friend Pieter-Jan from DAP Warandepoort was just starting out as a veterinarian and was gifted his grandmother’s old Peugeot to use as his runaround. He made a custom medicine cabinet to fit in the back and tasked me with designing a partitioning system for the shelves.
In order to maximize interior space I decided to use some thin wood we had on hand as dividers and got to work designing some screw-in brackets for the shelves. I then sliced the design into smaller pieces so they would fit on the print bed, and started printing the pieces out of PETG, which was the chosen material as it’s cheap and more resistant to the temperatures inside a car than PLA.

The finished result was a cost effective, durable shelving system, breathing new life into an old grandma car.
