While driving around I noticed I would get sudden drops in power output. After a while it got so bad the engine would sometimes randomly stall. This suggested there was an issue in the fueling. Changing the fuel filter temporarily seemed to have resolved the issue, but after a few weeks it ended up coming back. What this meant is that rust kept coming into the fuel filter and clogging it over and over. I used a cheap USB endoscope to look down the fuel tank and confirm my theory. The entire tank was covered in flaky loose rust and the pickup was clogged.
I removed the fuel tank and the fuel level float, and proceeded to blast out the tank with a pressure washer and soap. The tank was then degreased and prepared for an epoxy treatment. The outside of the tank was painted with a zinc paint in order to prevent new rust from forming.

Unfortunately I don’t have any more footage of this repair.
