For this bachelors thesis we were assigned with designing a conceptual production line for a real world customer. The aim was not to get it physically built, but rather to practice handling client requests and turning them into a working concept.
For my assignment I worked with Huis Vossen , a small wine and whisky producer local to my area. The owner Kris came up with the idea of selling small batches of their spirits for special occasions, with custom bottles to boot. He therefore was in need of a bottling line that was modularly constructed in a way that it could be easily adapted to fit all kinds of bottle shapes and sizes.
This modular production line is the concept of this thesis.
Looking back on it with what I know now, I would probably rework 90% of the machine to increase cost efficiency and ease of use of the production line. I passed for the assignment, yet I don’t feel this bachelors thesis is representative of the quality of my current work.
